So what is all this fuzz about bonded or bottled in bond whisky.

Frequently asked questions

1. What is bottled in bond whisky?
Bottled-in-Bond status is earned only by meeting strict government standards, originally passed in 1897 to ensure quality & consistency. In accordance with these standards, the liquor must but produced in one distillation season (Jan to June or July to Dec) by one distiller at one distillery. It must be aged in federally bonded warehouses under US government supervision for at least 4 years and bottled at 100  proof or 50% ABV.
2. Is bottled-in bond whisky of higher quality?
Yes because it is required to be of specific quality set by the government so quality cannot be skimmed.
3. Is bottled in bond and bonded whisky the same?
Yes

Reads the product story "Jack Daniels old classic no.7 recipe meets the bottled in bond act. The results are delicious. " I wholeheartedly agree with the story and no more words needed, just give it a shot.
