Birddog Bourbon Whiskey

Birddog Bourbon Whiskey is on my Bottom Shelf.

The first segment(Mostly not available on google search)
Occasions, tips, alternates, cocktails, food pairings, SJ's Rating, Feel.

SJ's Rating- Bottom Shelf
Yuck😒 ! It went straight down the drain after the first sip. There is no character of this bourbon.
Occasion- Casual
SJ's Pro tip- Run away from it!
Cocktail- N/A
Feel- Soul less whiskey.
Food Pairing- Momo, fried rice(This whisky ruined the taste of food)

The second segment(Technical details that are mostly available on a google search)
Whiskies like these have no information about the distillery. I am guessing it is a private label brand for Total Wine.
My red flags when it comes to bad whisky
-No distillery name
-Too many flavors of the same brand(Peach, blueberry, vanilla). Classic whisky makers focus on quality, not quantity.
-No tasting notes preview on the bottle.

Vital Stats- Birddog Kentucky Straight  Bourbon Whiskey
Price- $18.99 for 750ml($0.84 for 50ml sampler)
Age- NAS(No Age Statement)
ABV- 42%
Region- Kentucky, USA
Distillery/Bottlers- Three springs bottling company, Bowling Green, KY
Awards won- None(Does not deserve any except for the worst whisky title)

Tasting info-
Appearance- Dark amber
Aroma- Typical bourbon, vanilla, oak some fruity notes
Flavor- Bitter, fruity
Body- Medium
Finish- Bitter, short, non-lingering.

Casa Maestri 1965 Original Premium Whisky

The first segment(Mostly not available on google search)
Occasions, tips, alternates, cocktails, food pairings, SJ's Rating, Feel.

SJ's Rating- Middle Shelf(Almost bottom shelf)
It is on the middle shelf because I was able to drink it but did not enjoy it so much! Very disappointing. However, the flask is solid and reusable which is a bonus.
Occasions- Casual
SJ's Pro tip- Tip 1 Makes for a neat gift because of the attractive packaging.
Tip 2 If you don't like the taste use it for cocktails.
Alternates- Ensign Red Fine Canadian
Cocktail- Manhattan, Old Fashioned
Feel- Not impressed
Food Pairing- Chicken & Rice

The second segment(Technical details that are mostly available on a google search)
There is no information about the distillery or the product. I am guessing that it is a private label with blended whiskies from unknown sources. Usually, if there is nothing to be found on the packaging or on the net it is an inferior product.
Why is it is named 1965? There is no information about that either. Also, the whisky tastes terrible. Check out my tasting. notes for the full review! Enjoy!

Price- $30.99 for 750ml($11.49 for pictured 200 ml sampler)
Age- NAS(No Age Statement)
ABV- 40%
Region- Canada
Distillery- Not available

Tasting info-
Appearance- Dark amber
Aroma- Nothing stands out, vanilla, citrus, a hint of oak
Flavor- Mild, bitter, nothing worth mentioning
Body- Watery, short
Finish- Short, non-lingering
