Hello Single Malters, Today I am sampling and reviewing A De Fussigny Selection Cognac. I have a unique appreciation for the French on their expertise to extract golden liquid out of grapes. I do not like wine but am inclined to Cognac as it suits my palette. Made from white grapes Cognac is a blend of brandy from different regions in France. A Cognac must aged for at least 2 years in French oak. A De Fussigny Distillery was established in 1814 and is located in the banks of Charente River(which flows into The Atlantic ocean in the Bay of Biscay) Sounds exotic already!
I have just started to scratch the surface of Cognac which is as vast as the Scotch domain. More in depth research and tastings to follow in my upcoming blogs. Now let's get down to tasting the labors of the French and see if it lives up to their name :-)Vital Stats-
