SJ's Rating- Middle Shelf
Does not do justice for a 15-year-old. There is no oak element to this whisky and is more towards the sweet short fruity side. If you don't like oaky then it is for you.
Occasion- Movie night
SJ's Pro tip- Attractive tin case packaging makes a nice gift
Alternates- Dewar's 12 is cheaper and better tasting
Cocktail- Scotch sour
Feel- Slightly disappointed 😑
Food Pairing- Chicken tenders, momo
The second segment(Technical details that are mostly available on a google search)
I have already covered Dewar's Distillery in my previous blog Dewar's 12 blended Scotch whisky
Since it is a blend, they source their whisky majorly from Aberfeldy distillery. This particular expression, a 15-year-old, is aged twice for extra smoothness according to the label in the bottle.
