Highland Queen Majesty Sauternes Cask Finish

Highland Queen Majesty Sauternes Cask Finish is for today's review. The product story reads "Since 1961, Mary Queen of Scots has embodied the enduring and noble values, history and independent spirit of Scotland. Highland Queen Majesty Sauternes Cask Finish has been carefully selected from the the finest malts in Scotland to offer a distinctive and smooth whisky, for the enjoyment of all. The result we leave with confidence to your judgement". Let me see if it matches up to the legacy 😃. Upon some research I found that the whisky comes from Tullibardine Distillery along with other distilleries for its blended expressions. Enjoy my tasting notes!

SJ's rating- Middle Shelf
I loved it for the intense and robust flavor like Glenlivet 12 First fill. It does not get the top spot for one reason.... the finish which is very short. However for the price, it is more than worth the money
Occasions best suited- For casual gatherings with friends. I enjoyed with friends while playing cards.

Cocktails- Not applicable. It does go well with club soda if it is too strong for some people.

Cheers! and enjoy responsibly. Not a big reader? Listen to my podcast

  1. Not familiar with Highland Queen distillery or sauternes cask finish. Learned something new today!

    1. I am glad you found it useful. It would be a good one to try without breaking the bank.

  2. Light in color, attractive price point. I need to give it a try!

    1. It is rich in flavor and for the price point and 46% ABV it is a great deal.

  3. Havent heard of this Poody Juice before, interesting! Might give it a go...

    1. Give it a shot. I liked it so might you.

  4. Why don't they list the 12 years on the label?
    If it's there, I don't see it.

    1. Hi, it is NAS(No Age Statement). My mistake because I thought it was the other bottle which is 12 years. Having said that it is not a bad drink for the price especially for a single malt.
