The Glenlivet 12 Illicit Still

The first segment(Mostly not available on google search)

Occasions, tips, alternates, cocktails, food pairings, SJ's Rating, Feel.

SJ's Rating- Middle Shelf
Nothing stands apart,  had better expectations but fails to meet it. I found the regular "legal" Glenlivet 12 much smoother than this :-)
Occasion-  Movie night, watched "Exodus", Paul Neuman's 1960s movie
SJ's Pro tip- Add a couple of ice cubes to cut the high ABV
Alternates- Cutty Sark Prohibition edition
Feel- Not impressed 😐

The second segment(Technical details that are mostly available on a google search)
Glenlivet 12 Illicit still is non-chill filtered with a robust ABV. The product label says it all "Before George Smith licensed his distillery in 1824, the Glenlivet valley was full of Illicit whisky trade. This limited edition is inspired by our father's original and illegally distilled, Glenlivet whiskey". Apparently, the recipe used during that time was not as smooth as the original one.
